I killed the Weed Eater

I killed the Weed Eater

My lawn is definitely taking steroids or some other drug that makes it grow like mad. I am not kidding when I say within two days the grass is knee-high! That on its own would be somewhat ok if the lawn wasn’t on an incline making it impossible for one to use a lawn...

Growth

Feel the lavender between your fingers, allow the thyme to drift you to seasonal places and the rosemary to heal your soul.

By no means is gardening easy. Good gardening, difficult gardening makes you break out in a sweat. But the growth you obtain from planting in the natural earth, discovering a worm or two is oddly satisfying. Even if followed my a bit of a scream or two of pure shock.

In my journey as a newly minted gardener/farmer I’ve encountered strange legged bugs, weird looking mile long worms, bugs that fly, bugs that crawl and a pest hulk like cat that likes to watch me from a distances.

However, strange this new world has become for me, I am enthralled and slowly falling madly in love.

Dirty has become my Mr. Darcy and I it’s Miss. Bennet.

It finally happened.  I woke up with my knees and elbows hurting. You know that deep kind of ache that seems to get worse as the day goes on. It's the kind of nervous and joint pain I normally get after a good workout, but this was different somehow.  So, as any level...

Journal: Writing my Book

Journal-The Garden Gave Me Blisters

This is the Saturday before Mother’s Day and I’m tired. Beat down and bruised. My muscles hurt, and not just from working in the Garden. I’ve also returned to the world of working out. I gave it up for a while because I just couldn't get myself off the couch. Now,...
