Decorating

I love Versailles. Even the in your face bold  French Baroque interior design. Despite not liking gold anything, Versaillas is one of the places where I could move right in.

Then there is the chateau de Maintenion.

While decked out in whatever style and updated in the twenties there is a sense of cosy about the place. I find a warmth and strong connection to the homey large chateau.

If I had to determine what my style is that would be cosy and warm. A place where I feel comfortable taking my shoes off and run around in my flannel pajamas. Not a place where I am scared to spill my drink.

Here I share my style, my tips and advice in making a home feel like home.

I find decorating incredibly intmate and personal. When it comes to creating your own style I think it is necessary to tap into that part of you that shines the brightest.

For me it has nothing to do with “contemporary” or “modern”, I go with my gut. What connects with me? What calls out to me and makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

I think of decorating kind of like falling in love. Each space is new and excited, and has a story to tell, but so does your soul. Merging the two, while ignoring the fads, leads you to design that is uniquly you.

That’s my philosphy that I’ll be sharing.
